The first Cheers opened its doors in Newport News, Virginia in 1987. Mr. Steve Dokos, the owner conceived the concept and design of the restaurants. The first store was a tremendous success, and by March of 1990, a second location opened in Chesapeake. Subsequently, Cheers opened another in Fairfax.
